A Motor.

Me and my friend, Stephen, are both interested in Electricity, and the use of it. So we decided to get a burnt up fan and make a Motor, we used the housing, a bunch of batteries, and the motor wheel, and we have big magnets from speakers. We aren't successful yet, but we think if we find enough batteries and such we can make a motor, and do something with it... we hope to get it running well and make it run on DC voltage.

I don't know if you'll end up going into engineering in college and as a career, but you clearly have the interest and talent to do it. The project sounds great--I'd love to hear how it goes.

Hi Gav,
Did you read the book I gave you? (The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind) If you didn't, you really should since it is the story of how he created a wind mill to generate electricity for his home in Africa. He was forced to use pieces of things he scavenged and invented to make it work. Good luck with your project!
Love,
