Most of you dont know what Winter X-treme is. So I will tell you, it is a holiday even from the 27th to the 29th for youth groups from all over the country. They have the best christian bands and the best speakers come and speak to all of the youth. There are over 6,000 people that come, both adults and youth. It takes place in Gatlinburg, TN which is basically an amusement park city with all kinds of rides and food.
Now for how my trip went. I spent the night at my friends after visiting my uncle on the 26th. Where we proceeded stayed up till about 12 'o clock knowing we had to be up at three. When we woke up we had deer meat patties on biscuits with jelly with his dad; who was going with us. We all waited on our ride (a mutual family friend) who was 10 minutes late because he spilled his coke at his house... We left for the church (my friend and his family live right across the street from the church so it wasn't far) and got in the charter bus that would take us 541 miles to our hotel on the main strech of Gatlinburg. We made all of our lunch stops and out snack/bathroom stops. the ride was pretty uneventful... so we got there about 6 'o clock and proceeded to check in. But when the bus tried to pull into the parking lot you've got to remember that thing was huge so it started to slip down hill and the driver is on the gas keeping us in the same spot! He backed up a little bit and got on some solid ground and so we went around the city in the bus again which even though its a small city it is a 20 minute ride around because it is a tourist attraction. We finally got there and pulled into the parking lot and unloaded our stuff and went to the convention center slipping and sliding the whole way because there is about of 6" of snow everywhere and ice on the side walks after we got there mercy me started playing music and since you all know how much I love the Beatles' music I will tell you that the first song they played was Revolution by the Beatles. so they proceded to play some good Christian music and then we left to order pizza at the hotel. And thats the end of day 1.

Hey, Gav!
We knew you were going to be in for quite a ride when we found out about the weather you'd go through and find in Gatlinburg. Glad you had a good time, heard some good music and probably met some nice folks. Let us know about the rest of your trip.
