Beatles
The beatles are my favorite 60's Rock Band. They have the most unique music of all other bands from the 60's. My favorite song the Beatles did was hey bull dog. I also like Get together over me, Here comes the sun, I wanna hold your hand, and Do you wanna know a secret. They spent most of there time as musicians with abbey road studios, My favorite period in their music was in 67-69.

I loved your post today! Our grandson, Ben, who is 13 years old also loves the Beatles. Have you heard any of the re-mastered albums that came out recently? Uncle Rich and I have the whole set. There are some singles that were never put on albums. We'll bring the set to the family gathering in March.

I'm right with you, G. Back in the early 60's when the Beatles first came out I didn't like any rock music, but as soon as I heard the last chord in She Loves You I was hooked. My favorites are the albums they did in 66-69 (Revolver, Sgt. Pepper, the White Album, Abbey Road), with my very favorite being the White Album. The sound on those remastered albums Aunt Rebecca told you about is incredible--we need to make sure we have a good sound system at the family gathering.

Hi Gavin,
When I was 14 the Beatles came to the U.S. and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show. I could hardly wait to buy their first album after they came here called Meet the Beatles. I memorized every song, read every word on the album cover and bought magazines completely devoted to the Beatles. Their music changed and evolved over time and I think I knew their music would hold up over time even though it changed radically from what it was when they formed their band. So here we are years later---1964 to 2010---you do the math! And they are still obviously very popular and entertaining young and old alike. Long live the Beatles!
Love,
Grammy
