snow, Ice, and cold!!!

The past few days have been extremely cold. I went out to go feed my dog and the moisture in the ground had frozen making it hard. My dogs water bowl had an inch of ice in it, and a bucket that had ice in it to the bottom. It is supposed to get into the teens and snow tommorow through saturday and freeze all the time.
where my dad works the power went out so he had to work all night in the cold.

Brrr!! It's been cold here, too! I like the detail in your blog about the ice in your dog's water bowl. That made me really FEEL how cold it is at your house.

Hi Gav,
It has been cold here in Pensacola, too. We broke a record last night and may do so again this weekend. It has been so cold that the saucer we have filled with water for Ivan (our turtle that lives in our back yard) was frozen. I told Gramps I thought it would be fun to see birds ice skating on it!
We probably won't get any snow but we are keeping our fingers crossed that we get a little bit. No one knows how to drive in ice and snow here so we can't wish for too much snow since people would be slipping and sliding all over the place.
Gramps is going to buy some firewood so we can have a real fire this weekend. Maybe he'll have better luck with his wood than your Dad had with the wood he had for Christmas Eve.
Love,
Grammy
